Who We Are
JBI Management was founded in 2007 to invest in the redevelopment of Brooklyn’s communities and to make them stronger. Brooklyn is not just where JBI does business; it is also home to company founders, Aaron and Joel Israel—the place where they raise their own families. The Israels are active in several Brooklyn community and religious organizations, volunteering time and resources to help families in need.
What We Do
The JBI team has proven expertise in building management, construction and real estate financing. As an emerging player in Brooklyn’s community redevelopment field, we specialize in rehabilitating apartment buildings that have fallen into disrepair, bringing them up to modern building code and safety standards. Most of the buildings in our portfolio are 80-years old or more and have required extensive structural and cosmetic reconstruction. Some have required complete gut rehabilitation.
JBI’s finished properties are beautiful and functional residential buildings that reflect the character of their respective neighborhoods and provide quality homes for a growing number of Brooklyn families. Over the last seven years, JBI has successfully rehabilitated many of Brooklyn’s older buildings, most of which were vacant, bringing dozens of apartment units back online for families who need them.
JBI and its founders believe in family, community and quality housing opportunities. Our goal is to have fully occupied buildings with satisfied tenants. We want our work to enhance Brooklyn and the community by adding value to each property and each neighborhood. And we take pride in being a part of the wonderful fabric of Brooklyn.
With nearly a decade of experience dealing with some of the most complex housing situations in New York City, JBI maintains a sound and stable management team. We are committed to our tenants, our properties and Brooklyn for the long haul.
